Nation's 1st Dinosaur Skin Fossil Found

Domestic paleontologists have found for the first time in the country a fossil featuring a dinosaur's skin.

An international academic seminar last month in Goseong County on the southern coast confirmed that the 20-centimeter fossil found in March on a construction site in Goseong shows the top part of a dinosaur's foot.

Chungju National University of Education professor Seo Seung-jo said the fossil originated from clay that the dinosaur probably stepped on while dying, imprinting the diverse patterns of its foot skin.

Goseong is one of the world's richest areas for dinosaur fossils.
