'Fast Action Needed to Retain Advocaat'

A British soccer writer says the Korea Football Association must act fast if it wants to keep Dick Advocaat as national coach.

Goal.com Asia editor John Duerden on Friday wrote that Advocaat has quickly improved the team from flat-looking to an energetic and fast-paced bunch that is confident going into its upcoming World Cup games.

He urged the association to either extend Advocaat's contract before the World Cup or start looking for a replacment, warning that the Dutchman and other coaches will probably secure other deals by the time the tournament ends.

Dutch pro champion PSV Eindhoven has expressed interest in signing Advocaat to replace Guus Hiddink as coach.
