The Education Ministry is considering opening a graduate school on traditional Oriental medicine.

An official on Friday said the ministry and the Health and Welfare Ministry are discussing measures to raise the domestic sector to global standards in keeping a campaign pledge of President Roh Moo-hyun.

The ministries are mulling several options including the building of a specialized graduate school, installing a department at a state-run university or offering graduate courses at the National Medical Center.
