The country's soccer fans are highly optimistic over the national team's second-round advance in the World Cup.

Poll & Poll on Thursday said a survey of 700 people aged 19 or older showed 90 percent predict a second-round berth, while only 4.3 percent said the team will not get out of Group G.

Nearly 44 percent expect the team to reach at least the round of 16, 27.5 percent the quarterfinals and another 27.5 percent the semifinals.

Only 1.6 percent predicted an advance to the final, while 2.2 percent said the team will win the championship.
