Former national soccer team coach Guus Hiddink looks likely to be the new head coach for the Russian national squad.

In a Dutch television program, Holland Sports, Hiddink said Tuesday that his agent and the Russian Football Federation were holding last-minute discussions on the details of contract terms.

Hiddink added that he would soon be working for the Russian team.
