Kia Motors will help American football star Hines Ward set up a scholarship foundation for biracial people in South Korea and Korean Americans in the United States.

Kia President Cho Nam-hong on Monday signed a deal to donate money to the foundation in a ceremony.

The automaker will also auction off its sedan Opirus that Ward was allowed to use during his Seoul visit, with the proceeds to also go to the foundation.

Ward thanked Kia for the donation, calling the foundation his long-cherished plan.
