IOC Chief Gets Honorary Taekwondo Rank

International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge has received an honorary 10th-degree blackbelt in taekwondo.

Attending the general assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees in Seoul, Rogge on Friday received the honor at the headquarters of the World Taekwondo Federation in southern Seoul.

Rogge lauded the federation's reform drive and discussed promotion of cooperation.

The federation presented its first honorary 10th-degree blackbelt to Rogge's predecessor, Juan Antonio Samaranch.
