The nation's short-track speed skaters won both the men's and women's titles in the world championships Sunday in Montreal, Canada.

The men finished first in the competition with a score of 39 points and the women did the same with 40 points, beating host Canada and top competitor China.

The women's title was the fifth straight for South Korea since 2002, while the men won the 2004 event in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The world team championship determines which country is the best in the world in short track.
