The nation's short-track speed skaters have advanced to the finals of the world team championships.

On the tournament's first day in Montreal Sunday, the men's and women's teams advanced to the finals after beating China and Canada.

Male competitor Lee Ho-suk won the individual 500, 1,000 and 3,000 meters and helped South Korea win the 5,000-meter relay.

For the women, Winter Olympics triple medalist Jin Sun-yu also swept the 500, 1,000 and 3,000 meters and helped her team win the 3,000-meter relay.
