The Korean Baseball Organization is seeking a rematch between the national baseball teams of South Korea and Japan sometime after October.

In a Wednesday interview with PBC radio, a local Catholic broadcaster, organization chairman Shin Sang-woo said the pro baseball league play in both countries would end in October, and a proposed rematch would heavily depend on Japan's decision as South Korea does not have a domed baseball stadium.

He said he would use the opportunity to rally public support for constructing a baseball dome in the country, adding that he could meet with President Roh to request help.

South Korea defeated Japan in two consecutive games at the World Baseball Classic before losing to its archrival in the semifinals.
