A domestic researcher is among the world's top 100 scientists in rankings compiled by the England-based International Biographical Centre.

The Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute on Tuesday said Byun Myung-woo was cited for his work on the role of radiation in food technology.

Byun is also listed in other famous directories such those of Marquis Who's Who and the American Biographical Institute.

Academic journals have published 150 of his papers.
