The national baseball team has returned home after their dazzling semifinals run at the World Baseball Classic.

Some 200 baseball fans warmly welcomed the team at Incheon International Airport Monday night.

Team manager Kim In-sik said that the passion of athletes and fans alike had enabled the team to achieve excellent results at the international tournament and that the world would no longer underestimate South Korean baseball.

Baseball player Lee Jong-beom and others will rest for two days before taking part in friendly matches between the nation’s pro baseball teams.
