Korean slugger Lee Seung-yeop has donated his bat to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York.

The Korea Baseball Organization said Monday that an official from the museum had requested the donation from Lee, who led South Korea to the semifinals of the inaugural World Baseball Classic.

Lee's donated bat was the one he hit a homer with during a WBC game against the U.S. team last Tuesday.

South Korean outfielder Lee Jin-young also offered his baseball cap to the American museum.

The museum will create a special exhibition hall dedicated to the WBC featuring personal articles of the WBC semifinalists.
