Former national soccer striker Choi Yong-soo will return to the domestic K-League for the first time in five years.

FC Seoul Coach Lee Jang-soo on Wednesday said the 32-year-old player-coach will help the team's lack of back-up forwards.

Nicknamed "Eagle," Choi is injured and says his health is at 60 percent.

Choi was named the K-League Most Valuable Player in 2001 and scoring the second-most goals in the Japanese league a year later.

He also played 67 games for the national team, including in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups, scoring 27 goals.
