Baseballers Surprise U.S. in WBC, 7-3

The national baseball team on Monday inched closer to the World Baseball Classic semifinals with a convincing 7-3 win over the United States.

In Anaheim, California, Choi Hee-seop hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning to give South Korea a commanding 6-1 lead.

South Korea remains the only unbeaten team in the tournament at 5-0, and will play Japan Wednesday.

Lee Seung-yeop opened the scoring for South Korea with a solo homer in the first for his tournament-leading fifth in five games.

Reliever Oh Seung-hwan, who was Most Valuable Player of last year's Korean Series, got the save in the ninth after forcing Chipper Jones to ground out.
