The world's largest information technology trade show, CeBIT, will open Thursday in Hannover, Germany, for a week-long run.

Some 6,200 participating companies from 76 countries will show off their cutting-edge technologies and products in electronics, IT and computers.

South Korea's Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and Pantech will set up booths to display third-generation mobile handsets and flat-panel display devices.
