The Education Ministry will conduct training to foster experts in display technology, mobile communications and semiconductor.

In a meeting Friday attended by some 20 officials, the ministry said it will train some 1,300 experts in the three next-generation industries.

Eight billion won of state funds this year will go to universities, think tanks and professional training institutes.

The government will also hold seminars for institutions that apply for funding.
