Baseball Team to Start WBC Vs. Taiwan

The national baseball team on Friday will start the first World Baseball Classic against Taiwan in the Tokyo Dome.
The team is in Pool A with Japan, Taiwan and China, and the top two nation will advance to the second round in California.
San Diego Padre Park Chan-ho will lead the pitchers, having won 106 games in his eleven-year Major League Baseball career.
Reliever Kim Byung-hyun of the Arizona Diamondbacks and former New York Mets pitcher Koo Dae-sung will also help out.
Leading the hitters are Asia's home run king Lee Seung-yeop, who signed with Japan's Yomiuri Giants this season, and Los Angeles Dodger Choi Hee-seop.
South Korea plays Japan Sunday night.
