Nation Ranks No. 1 in Web TV Patents

The nation has the most patents on Internet TV technology in the world.
A report by the Institute for Information Technology Advancement said Thursday that between 1990 and last year, the country issued three-hundred-19 of the patents.
Over the same period, the United States issued two-hundred-eight patents, Japan one-hundred-17, Europe 48 and China 23.
Of the three-hundred-19 patents issued in South Korea, three-hundred were by South Koreans.
South Koreans also hold three-hundred-25 of the patents issued in other countries, another world high.
