Former national soccer striker Kim Do-hoon will officially retire Wednesday when South Korea plays Angola in Seoul in a friendly game.

The Korea Football Association said Friday that the ceremony will come at halftime and that it will hold official send-offs for players with at least 70 appearances for the national team.

Kim played for the national team between 1994 and 2003, scoring 30 goals in 72 games.

He is also the career scoring leader in the domestic K-League with 114 goals and 41 assists in 257 games.

Kim led the league in goals in 2003 with 28 and was named Most Valuable Player that season.
