Champion weightlifter Jang Mi-ran topped the world rankings last year in her weight class.

The International Weightlifting Federation released its annual rankings Wednesday, placing Jang in a two-way tie for first with Mu Shuangshuang of China in the women's over-75 kilogram class.

At the world championship in Qatar in November, Jang won a gold medal after lifting 300 combined kilograms 128 kilograms in the snatch and 172 kilograms in the jerk.

Lee Jong-hoon ranked second in the men's 56-kilogram class behind Wang Shin-Yuan of China.
