President Roh Moo-hyun has sent congratulatory messages to short-track speed skaters Ahn Hyun-soo and Lee Ho-suk for winning medals at the Torino Winter Olympics Sunday.

Roh on Monday commended the two athletes for their hard-won medals and asked them to continue lifting the nation's name high in the sports world.

Ahn won the gold in the men's 1,500 meters and teammate Lee the silver.
