National soccer coach Dick Advocaat has denied European media reports that he will take over the Russian team after the World Cup.

In Southern California Wednesday before his team was to play the Los Angeles Galaxy, he said the reports were just speculation on what might happen when his contract with South Korea expires in June.

Footballasia.com said the former coach of Scotland's Glasgow Rangers is likely to return to Europe after leaving South Korea, and would relish a job in the English Premier League.

Guus Hiddink, Advocaat's precedessor in South Korea, has also been mentioned as a top candidate for the Russia job.
