The nation's Winter Olympic team departed Friday for Torino, Italy, to compete in the Winter Olympics from next week.

The 69-member delegation included 40 athletes and wIll arrive at the athletes' village Tuesday, and could march alongside the North Korean squad at the opening ceremony on February 10th.

South Korea will compete in five events skiing, ice sheet, biathlon, luge and skeleton and is aiming to finish in the top ten with at least three gold medals.
