Soccer fans will enjoy a double treat Wednesday as the national team faces Denmark in a friendly game and the men's youth squad will play Japan for the under-19 world championship.

The national team is brimming with confidence ahead of its final in the Carlsberg Cup four-country tournament in Hong Kong.

Coming off wins against Finland and Croatia, the team hopes to win its third straight against a European opponent.

Denmark, a quarterfinalist in the 2004 European Championships, is ranked 13th in the world and South Korea 29th.

Meanwhile, the men's under-19 team will play Japan late Wednesday evening in Qatar for the world championship.

The youth team will look to rising star Shin Young-rok to beat Japan for the title for the second straight year. Shin has scored in four consecutive games and is a threat to emerge as the tournament's leading scorer.

In last year's final, young dynamo Park Chu-young led South Korea to a 3-0 win over Japan in the final.
