Golf prodigy Michelle Wie will play in the men's SK Telecom Open in Seoul.

SK Telecom said Tuesday that it invited Wie as a guest player to its tournament opening on May 4th.

The golfer will also meet with fans and donate part of her appearance fee to needy children during her stay from April 28th to May 8th.

SK is known to have offered Wie an appearance fee of about 700 million won, half of what she usually receives at other tournaments.

Major male golfers including last year's tournament winner Choi Kyung-ju will play in the tournament.
