The national soccer team on Sunday defeated Croatia in a convincing 2-0 victory in Hong Kong.
In the four-nation Carlsberg Cup invitational tournament, striker Kim Dong-jin shocked Croatia in the 35th minute when his shot from almost midfield rocketed past goalie Joey Didulica.
Five minutes after halftime, striker Lee Dong-gook passed to a streaking Lee Chun-soo, who fired the ball into the left side of the net to make it 2-0.
Both teams will play in the World Cup in Germany, but were missing most of their key players in the game.
The win was the second in a row for South Korea Coach Dick Advocaat after a 1-0 loss to the United Arab Emirates and a 1-1 tie with Greece earlier this month.
The team will face Wednesday the winner of the Hong Kong-Denmark game.
