South Korean race walker Kim Hyeon-seop won the Japanese championship Sunday.

Participating as a guest athlete, Kim recorded 1 hour 22 minutes and 20 seconds in a 20-kilometer race in Kobe, Japan defeating Japan’s Koichiro Morioka.

The athletic prodigy ranked in the top ten in the International Associations of Athletics Federation Challenge and in the international Race Walk Cup.
