'Red Devil' Supporters to Use Cloth in WC

The Red Devils, the official cheering group of the national soccer team, will use huge cloth instead of card sections at this year's World Cup in Germany.

A group source said Friday that card sections that displayed phrases like "Again 1966" and 'Dream Comes True' in the 2002 World Cup needed at least 5,000 to 10,000 people a game, and that a repeat is difficult to pull off in Germany.

Another challenge is getting some 100 people to set up the cards a day before a game.

The source said the new method of using large cloth does not use many seats and is clearly visible to the players on the field.

The cloth will debut Sunday when South Korea plays Croatia in Hong Kong.
