Ceremony Held for Winter Olympic Team

The Korean Olympic Committee on Wednesday held a ceremony for the 70-member national team to compete in the Torino Winter Olympics next month.

Athletes and officials pledged to do their best in the ceremony attended by Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan and KOC Chairman Kim Jung-gil.

National team chief Byun Tak said South Korea is aiming to finish in the top ten in medal standings.

The team's main contingent will leave for Italy on February 3rd.
