Striker Ahn Jung-hwan has agreed to a contract with the German pro soccer team Duisburg.

His agent Yang Myung-kyu said Tuesday that Ahn agreed on specific terms and that he left for Germany Monday to sign the contract Wednesday.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but reports say he signed a 1.5-year deal worth 650,000 dollars a year.

Ahn is expected to make his Bundesliga debut against Stuttgart Saturday.

Sitting second-to-last in the German league, Duisburg also agreed to let him go should the team get relegated to the Bundesliga's second tier.
