Soccer Team Draws With Greece, 1-1

The national soccer team on Saturday played 2004 European Championships winner Greece to a 1-1 tie in the four-nation invitational LG Cup in Saudi Arabia.

Greece scored first as Zagorakis Theo, the most valuable player of the 2004 European Championships, scored in the tenth minute.

In the 24th minute, striker Park Chu-young tied the score when he headed in a goal off a free kick by Lee Chun-soo.

With the draw, South Korea maintained its six-game unbeaten record against European teams since June 2004 with three wins and three draws.

The team will play Finland Wednesday night.
