Soccer Team Looks to Rebound Vs. Greece

Written: 2006-01-20 16:05:39Updated: 0000-00-00 00:00:00

The national soccer team will hope to rebound Saturday against Greece after losing to the United Arab Emirates Wednesday for the first time in ten years.

In Saudi Arabia, the team will face the 16th-ranked Greeks who despite their 2004 European Championship win failed to qualify for the Germany World Cup.

Nonetheless, a tough test is expected for South Korea given Greece's emphasis on strong teamwork over individual ability in a style similar to that of Switzerland, who will play South Korea in World Cup Group G.

South Korea Coach Dick Advocaat will juggle a few members of the starting lineup in the wake of Wednesday's loss.

A team source said striker Lee Dong-guk will start despite suffering a bruised right calf Wednesday.
