Wie Flops at Sony Open; Choi KJ 2nd

Golf prodigy Michelle Wie on Thursday had a rough outing in the PGA Sony Open, hitting a nine over-79 for last place in her fourth attempt to make the cut in a men's tournament.

Meanwhile, Choi Kyung-ju tied for second in Honolulu, Hawaii, with David Toms with a four under-66, just a shot off the lead.

Wie suffered three double bogeys and two three-putts amid winds of up to 35 miles per hour in finishing 14 shots back of the leader Rory Sabbatini.

She is striving to become the first woman in 61 years to make the cut on the PGA Tour.
