'Risks Not Fully Explained to Ova Donors'

Those who donated ova to cloning scientist Hwang Woo-suk's research team were not fully informed of the risks.

National Bioethics Committee Vice Chairman Cho Han-il said Friday that 15-20 percent of egg donors suffered excessive ovulation.

He said, however, that the donations were legal since the bioethics law took effect last year.

A senior official of the presidential advisory panel on bioethics was also found to have offered ova four times to the team.
