Science has retracted two papers of Hwang Woo-suk published in the U.S. journal in 2004 and 2005.

In a statement issued Thursday, Science editor-in-chief Donald Kennedy said the journal withdrew the discredited papers after an investigative panel at Seoul National University (SNU) confirmed that all of the eleven patient-specific embryonic stem cell lines the researcher supposedly created were fake.
