The Colorado Rockies have re-signed relief pitcher Kim Byung-hyun to a one-year deal worth at least 1.5 million dollars.

The team's Web site on Saturday said the righthander will receive a base salary of 1.25 million dollars with a buyout of 250,000 dollars on an option for 2007.

He could earn an additional one million dollars in incentives based on innings pitched. The 2007 option is worth 2.5 million dollars but could rise to four million dollars depending his performance this year.

Kim's contract will go official after he takes a physical, most likely next week. In March, he will also play for South Korea in the inaugural World Baseball Classic.

Known for his submarine delivery, he went 5-12 last season with a 4.86 earned-run average and was 5-9 as a starter.
