A Seoul National University panel investigating the stem cell scandal of Hwang Woo-suk is likely to announce its probe's final results Monday or Tuesday.

The panel said Thursday that it will decide Friday morning on when next week to announce the results, adding the university's official position on the scandal and follow-up measures will follow.

The university's disciplinary committee will also decide on punishment for co-authors of Hwang's paper published last year in the U.S. journal Science after the panel's report next week.
