The Seoul National University panel investigating the stem cell scandal of Hwang Woo-suk could probe his former collaborator Gerald Schatten and ex-assistant Park Jong-hyuk.

The panel on Tuesday said it is awaiting reply from the University of Pittsburgh, where Schatten and Park work, for cooperation in the probe.

Questioning of the two men could involve video conferencing.

Meanwhile, the panel has completed DNA fingerprint analysis of all blood samples from the cloned dog Snuppy and teratoma samples it additionally requested from Hwang's team late last month.

A panel member said the conclusion on Snuppy's authenticity could prove less than complete, citing lack of information on ova used in creating the dog.
