Soccer striker Lee Chun-soo is the K-League's Most Valuable Player this year.

The star of the league champion Ulsan Hyundai Tigers on Wednesday earned 41 of 73 votes, beating this year's top rookie Park Chu-young of FC Seoul who got 32 votes.

Lee joined Hyundai in the season's second half and scored seven goals and had five assists in 14 games. He scored a hat trick in the championship series versus Incheon United as his team won its second league title and first in nine years.

The former Real Sociedad player was also a starter on South Korea's World Cup team in 2002.
