The head of an association of Seoul National University professors claims that Hwang Woo-suk’s team provided funds to certain researchers to reverse their testimonies in a probe into Hwang's cloning scandal.

In an interview with Pyonghwa Broadcasting Corporation Tuesday, Chang Ho-wan said he deeply regretted that Hwang’s team paid money for the reversal of testimonies and stressed that those who are responsible should face civil and criminal penalties.

On the probe by university’s investigative panel on Hwang’s stem cell research, Chang said the panel is prudently conducting investigations.
