A Seoul National University panel probing the stem cell scandal of Hwang Woo-suk will likely request DNA tests on more samples from his lab.

The panel said Tuesday that the move is intended to gain a more accurate and thorough analysis of samples.

On Monday, the panel asked for more DNA analyses on samples used in Hwang's thesis published last year to verify the paper's authenticity.
