An Austrian daily has selected midfielder Seo Jung-won as the Austrian Bundesliga's top player in the first half of the season.

Kurier on Wednesday also named the SV Ried player the league's top midfielder and scorer.

Joining the team in June, the 35-year-old player has scored seven goals and has played in all 22 games. He has excelled in Austria with a number of selections as player of the week and to the team of the week.

A member of South Korea's World Cup teams in 1990, 1994 and 1998, Seo is a two-time Asia Player of the Year.
