Young dynamo Park Chu-young of FC Seoul is this year's pro soccer rookie of the year.

Park on Monday became the first player to win all 73 votes for the award in the K-League's 23-year history.

The former Korea University star, known for getting on his knees to pray after scoring, had 18 goals and became the youngest player to score a hat trick.

His immense popularity nationwide helped the league set a new attendance record this season.
