Ethnic Koreans in Germany have formed a cheering squad to root for South Korea in next year's World Cup soccer finals.

Berlin resident Lee Eun-hee on Sunday said the squad is designed to revive South Korea's cheering culture that impressed in the 2002 Seoul World Cup and let the world know of the nation's contributions to world peace.

Art troupes from both Koreas are expected to tour German cities that will host games in the tournament.
