Stem cell pioneer Hwang Woo-suk says he wants to end his stem cell research and cloning cows and dogs.

Hwang made the remarks Thursday morning when Science and Technology Minister Oh Myung visited him in the hospital.

Oh, meanwhile, dismissed the demand by several scientists for his ministry to verify Hwang's thesis, saying the global journal Science has already done a verification and should be the one to do another if necessary.
