The daily Sports Seoul has named FC Seoul striker Park Chu-young pro soccer rookie and player of the year.
The heralded rookie on Tuesday received the award at a ceremony in the Seoul Hilton Hotel in winning four awards, including most popular player and scoring leader.
His team was also named the best as it broke the league's single-season attendance record.
Kim Jung-nam was named coach of the year for leading Ulsan Hyundai to its second championship and first in nine years. Seongnam Ilhwa striker Kim Do-hoon, who set a domestic pro record of 114 career goals this season, got a special award.
Rookie Cho Yong-hyung of Bucheon SK was named defender of the year.
Gwangju Sangmu won this year's fair play team award while the cheering squad of Incheon United, this year's chamnpionship runner-up, was voted best supporters.
