Mixed Arts Fighter Choi Joins K-1 Team

Mixed martial arts fighter Choi Hong-man has joined the K-1 team of domestic sportswear maker Spris.

Nicknamed “Techno Goliath,” Choi on Tuesday told a news conference marking his entry that the team will help him achieve better results in the ring next year.

On his visit to Japan this weekend, the 2.18 meter tall giant said he hopes he can find opponents who will help his development.

Choi on December 31st will fight in the K-1 Dynamite year-end tournament, with reigning K-1 champion Semmy Schilt of the Netherlands also to take part.

In the event, Choi could get a rematch with American Bob Sapp, whom he beat in their November bout.
