Ulsan Clinches 2nd Soccer League Title

The Ulsan Hyundai Tigers are basking in the spotlight after winning their second domestic soccer league title and first in nine years.

In the second leg of the championship series at home versus Incheon United Sunday, Ulsan lost 2-1 but won the title based on a 6-3 aggregate score.

Ulsan came into the game with a commanding 5-1 lead from the first leg.

Incheon's Serbian striker Dzenan Radoncic scored the opening goal in Sunday's game in the 14th minute.

Former J-league player Choi Sung-gook tied the score for Ulsan in the 18th minute but Radoncic struck again with a header in the 26th minute.

Ulsan then clamped down on defense as the second half saw no goals from either team.

Ulsan won the prize money of 200 million won and earns a place in the Asian Champions league next year.
