South Korea and Japan are currently tied in a two-day annual professional women's golf competition on the Korean resort island of Jeju.

Golfers from the two countries racked up identical records of five wins, five losses and two draws on Saturday, the first day of the two-day event.

The two teams will take to the links again on Sunday for another 24 match-ups.

LPGA regulars Han Hee-won and Kim Mi-hyun are among the golf luminaries on Team Korea.

Japan won the competition for the first two years after the inaugural event in 1999, but South Korea has won the last four tournaments.
